Tulsa's line of low mount winches includes seven models that range from 9,000 to 30,000 pounds linepull.  These products are preferred in applications where the user needs a compact mount and the winch line should be on the plane of the mounting.

All Tulsa low mount winches can be equipped with an automatic worm brake.  As with the company's line of upright winches, every low mount model can be driven either mechanically or with a close coupled hydraulic motor.  Also, the Model E945 winch is 12 or 24V DC powered.

Tulsa low mount winches are most commonly used for front mounting for vehicle recovery, on wreckers, refuse trucks, utility digger derricks and aerial devices and other applications where a compact, heavy-duty winch is required.

As with Tulsa's upright winches, its low mount models feature gears made of manganese bronze for longer life and smooth operation, larger cable drums for faster linespeeds, and larger drum shafts for extremely heavy pulls.

Tulsa's new generation of low mount winches - Models 938, 1060 and 1242 - feature multiple disk oil brakes and enclosed clutches in addition to the features found on other models.  Options on larger winches include two-speed motors and air-operated clutches.  In addition, hydraulic or mechanical drive groups are offered.

Tulsa's newest low mount winch - the Model E945 - was specially designed to meet the needs of industrial and commercial users for a 12 or 24V DC powered winch with more ruggedness than is available in recreational vehicle winches.  It offers 9,000-pound first layer linepull and is equipped with a 15-foot remote pendant switch.
